Welcome to Invercassley Cottage

A Scottish Highland Hideaway

Invercassley cottage is a former traditional scottish croft, previously lived in by a shepherd from the Cassley estate. It is believed to be over 200 years old, which we are currently researching into.

Cottage entranceOver the last 25 years it has been owned and lovingly restored and converted by the same family, being used both as a family home and a B&B.

We purchased the property in 2002, as a holiday home for ourselves in the Highlands and future place to retire to. We hope that when you stay at the cottage you will fall in love with it as we did on our first visit, and that you will feel it is a home not just a holiday cottage.

The cottage itself is a mixture of both old and new, featuring rooms from the old croft, and a bright airy modern extension. It is small enough for a romantic break for two (we’ve already had two honeymoons here), and yet there is room enough for a large gathering of family and friends. The cottage has over an acre and a half of grounds; both a well maintained cottage garden and a large wildlife area. One of the great features of the cottage has to be its location, with unrivalled views over the Sutherland countryside and its wealth of wildlife and birds.
